The other day I read this thought that stuck with me….. “help me to remember that nothing is important in my life unless it glorifies You in some way. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day of my life and keep saying; tomorrow I will start spending more time in prayer.

Father God,

Thank You for pointing me toward thoughts and prayers that cause me to seriously reflect and take an inventory of what I am doing, and why. Please continue to direct me in the way I should go, neither drifting to the right or to the left.

Please bless me with the maturity and discipline to help me to remember what is truly important each day. Help me to avoid the worldly distractions that often set me adrift. My intentions are good and often my resolve is weak.

Help me to carry this thought throughout all of Lent, that nothing is important in my life unless it glorifies You in some way. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray and ask these things; Amen.
