As I have shared, I started a journey to read the bible every morning so that in one year, I will read it cover to cover. I’m still early in the Old Testament and I am enjoying the process. I have thought a few times already though, that it is so easy to get in a complaining mode and sin against God and over and over again the people stray. I pray and share,

Dear Father God,

Thank You for waking me up another day and for directing me toward Your Word. Help me to be wise and attentive and to hear and learn from Your Word.

Help us to follow Your laws, Your teachings and Your commandments. We know that we are tempted and can easily stray. Be with us, make us strong and obedient to Your commandments. Help us to confess and acknowledge when we fall short. Bless us with Your wisdom, grace and mercy.

The road is narrow and we are weak. Please remain faithful and beside us as we traverse the paths that You set before us. Be our strength when we are weak. In the Mighty Name of Jesus we pray and ask these things; Amen.
