Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for allowing me to wake up this morning and see another day. Help me to use this day wisely for the advancement of Your Kingdom.

Often, when I pray this way, I think of some great and grand act or situation that You may place me in. Help me to realize that that most likely be the situation. Most days, it is the simple and kind acts that I will encounter.

Help me to smile or offer a kind word to someone in need. Help me to let someone in a hurry to go before me. Help me to offer a prayer for someone rude or unkind, instead of returning like for like.

Help me today to love as You love and to love others as myself, and to forgive others as I need and want You to forgive me. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray and ask these things; Amen.
