Good Morning Father God,

This morning, before I left the warmth and comfort of bed, I spent a few minutes in thanksgiving for 5 good things You have blessed me with. Too often I don’t take the time to do this prior to starting the day. It really does get my mind and heart into a mode of gratitude and appreciation. Please help me to prioritize and slow down my early morning racing thoughts so that I have my quiet alone time with You.

Also, today, please bless and protect all outdoor workers in the bitter cold and slow that is effecting much of the country. Yesterday, I saw cell tower workers on a pole most of the day in the biter cold. Provide them the physical and mental ability to perform their essential work and take breaks to warm us as necessary. Also protect out utility workers, our first responders, drivers and all who make their living outdoors.

Lastly, help us all to find a few minutes today to stop and reflect and seek Your guidance and Your counsel. The days can go by so quickly and our minds get cluttered and distracted. Help us to seek You in all our endeavors and fellow Your guidance.
