Good Morning Heavenly Father,

Thank You for bringing forward into another month. I woke today safe, warm and comfortable in a house with plenty to eat and drink. These blessings and gifts are not taken for granted. Earlier this week I drove around down town and handed out goodie bags to our brothers and sisters who are not so fortunate. Help us all to be kind and generous to all who are in a dark or desperate place.

Please provide love, support and comfort to all the homeless. Also, this has been a sad and tragic week with the airplane clashes. Please provide the comfort that only You can provide for the families who have lost loved ones. Hold them tightly under the wing of Your comfort and protection.

Lastly, as I move forward into February, yesterday I started a journey to read the bible in a year. Provide me the discipline to stay the course and follow through in reading Your word. I’m sad and embarrassed that I have never read the bible from cover to cover. In my journey, give the the grace to cherish Your word and help it to change me into the best possible version of me.

Thank You for this day You have made and help me to rejoice in it. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray and ask for these things; Amen.
