Change 10-23-2024

Good Morning Father God,

You know that dealing with and adjusting to change is difficult for us. The change may be adjusting to retirement as is in my case. It may be adjusting to have more free time than you know how to deal with. It may be a change in health, either physical or mental. It may be the loss of a loved one. None of us can escape the constant change that complicates our lives.

The only thing I know to do is to pray and ask for your assistance in adjusting and making peace with the changes that interfere with our lives. Help me to understand that each day, each week, each month, things will change in ways I don’t like. Help me to be “malleable”, capable of being changed so as to fit new situations, flexible and adaptable. I sometimes get stuck in loving the status que and fight change that I can’t control.

Please help to me come to You, seek Your peace and Your comfort during my struggles with things changing. Guide me toward prayers and bible verses to bring me comfort. Send Your Holy Spirit upon my days and bring me the understanding and flexibility to adjust to how people, situations and circumstances are now, not how they once were.

We trust in Your loving comfort and grace to guide us through how life evolves and changes. In the Mighty Name of Jesus we pray and ask these things. Amen.
