Dear Father God,

As the Christmas season is upon, none of us are short of things to do, gifts to purchase, events to attend, plans to make and on an on/ Many of us are busy making lists to ensure we don’t forget anything, or any one.

This December, let me work on a list of a different type. Help me to create a list of things to draw me closer to You this, month and into the new year.

Help me to find and spend more time in quiet prayer with You.

Help me to find more time to read and reflect upon Your Word.

Help me to more outwardly share my faith and belief in You with friends, family and strangers.

Help me to show others what a Christ-filled life looks like.

Help me to heal and strengthen my relationships.

Help me to set aside traits and behaviors that don’t help me in drawing closer to You and others.

Please Father, send Your Spirit into my life come morning to sincerely work to develop skills, talents, patience and virtues to bring me closer to You.

In the Mighty name of Jesus I pray and ask these things; Amen.
