Trust 11-29-2024

Good Morning Father God,

This morning I come to You in prayer to turn things over to You. Yup, once again, I’ve tried to tackle and solve things on my own, only to make a mess of things. You know I have pure and good intentions, yet, the issues and lures of the world turn things sideways.

This morning, I seek and need Your grace, wisdom and guidance to handle the troubles in my life. Often, my work is clouded by fear, anxiety, anger, pride and a host of other poor choices, personality traits and weakness. Please provide me the strength and trust to turn over my troubles to You.

Help me to remember to call upon You as I have choices and decisions to make. Help me to reach out and ask for Your guidance and to listen for Your voice. Help me to create quiet and alone time when I can truly stop and listen.

And, lastly, You know me. Help me to not only listen, but then to obey and follow Your lead and guidance. Please let Your will be done. Let me trust in Your work and guidance and help me to only faithfully follow and believe.

Thank You father for Your wisdom and grace. Help Jesus to walk with me on my path and reign me in when I want to say “I’ve got this”, as too often I don’t, and that is why I come to You. Send Your Holy Spirit upon me to blees my path, thoughts, words and actions. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray and ask these things; Amen.

This is also a shortcoming of mine. Thinking I can handle it instead of turning it over to God. For me, I think it is about trust. I say, “I trust in the Lord, our Savior”, but do I, completely? Who am I to think I know better than he?
