Optimism 23 November 2024

Good Morning Heavenly Father,

Out the window this morning, I see a beautiful sunshiny day. I’ve already placed my scouting for food items outside and got to see the adorable little cub scout grab my bags. This morning, I woke up with joy in my heart and am seeing and experiencing joy in many things.

Now, I have to admit, not all days look like and start like this. Please work on my heart and attitude. Help me to start my day with looking for 5 good things before I get out of bed. Set my heart, soul and mind upon all that is good, honest, sincere first thing in the morning. When I drift toward my aches and pains, my troubles, trails and sorrows, please pull me back. Send Your Holy Spirit upon my heart. Lead me toward looking for the good, the happy, the fun and then, let me face the other “things” I have to deal with.

help me to realize and understand that so many things, views and attitudes are a choice. Help me to choose joy. help me to choose kind. Help me to choose optimism. Help me to see YOU in all things, in all people, in all circumstances and all trails. Remind me that I am never alone and You are always near. Allow me to tap into Your love, mercy and grace when I start to wonder away from Your plans for me.

Help me this day to see You in all people and things and to share Your joy with all I meet. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray and ask these things, Amen.
