Yesterday, Tomorrow and Today

Good Morning Father God,

This rainy Friday morning I have been doing a bit of reflection on the past week and anticipating the upcoming weekend. As I look back, I thank you for Your guidance and grace in the areas of life that I have sought Your will and performed pretty well. I also acknowledge that each day is a battle against the lures of the earthly world. Please continue to guide and direct me.

Also, I look eagerly toward the weekend as a time of enjoyment with family and friends. Safely guide our plans and actions and bless us with kind words, thoughts and actions.

With all of that said, mostly I want to concentrate on today. Today is all I can control, and I can’t really control it after all. Help me to react and adjust toward anything that happens today according to Your holy will. Let me speech be kind and my words be true. Let my actions be done with love and joy in my heart. Help me to resist temptations and seek Your strength and goodness.

Thank You for the time I spend in prayers and conversation with You. Thank You for always being there with a compassionate heart and ear. In the Might Name of Jesus I pray and ask these things; Amen.
