Prepared
Yesterday in church the reading was from Luke 12:39-48. I made me think and reflect all day about the hour and unknown time when the Son of Man will return. The sermon was about making good use of our time and to make every interaction with people like you’d want it to be if it was the very last.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving me another day in Your service to make a difference in the world. Thank You for the refreshing nights sleep and for helping me to remember to count 5 good things before getting out of bed.
I pray for Your love, guidance and grace to keep my heart pure. Help me to be the wise master of my house and to be prepared for all that comes. Help me to always be prepared. We know not the time, place or date, though we know one is coming.
Let my interactions with others be guided with the love and kindness of Jesus as He interacted with the Apostles, His followers, Jews and gentiles. Jesus just loved. Let us follow in His footsteps and use his life as our example. Fill our hearts with love, kindness and generosity for our fellow man. Let our interactions with others be guided by Your love.
I know that living and loving this way will not always be easy nor will I always be successful. Please be patient with me and assist me when my efforts fall short.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray and ask these things; Amen.
