Honesty: Monday 10/14/24

Many times recently I have felt sad and down at what seems to be a lack of honesty in the world? What is the truth and where can you go to find it? Are our politicians honest? Is our government honest? Our our television news services honest? Is our print media services honest? Is there honesty in on line and social media outlets?

This morning, a pray for truth and honesty. And what I can control is myself. So, if I want more truth and honesty in the world, let it begin with me. I looked up the words to the Vince Gill song, Let there be peace on earth and inserted “truth and honesty” everywhere there is the word peace. It makes it more difficult to sing, but the emphasis is on, “and let it begin with me.

I pray, “Dear Heavenly Father, it is too easy for me to be sad and discouraged at the lack of truth and honesty in the world. I often do not no where to turn to for truth, facts and honesty. I search my heart this morning and ask if I am a source of truth and honesty? I ask for your grace and guidance to make me a follower who has honesty and truth at my core. Help my heart, words and deeds to be honest and pure. I pray that as more and more followers establish truth and honesty as core values and guiding principles, it will grow and help all to be truthful and honest. Please bless my efforts to help me a person of truth and honesty. In the Might Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.”
